"It's all about reliability and time for me... I need to know that the gear I use is going to work each and every time and get the job done and on time of course."

Meet Gary & Lynette Van De Wetering.

Back in 1983, Gary had a dilemma, his herd needed feeding out twice a day over the winter months. He figured he could manage it by hand (with a hand from his wife Lynette of course), his father had a better idea. Later that afternoon Gary became the owner of a 2.5 tonne Giltrap Feed Out Wagon. Looking back, he reckons it’s probably the best thing he bought at the time.

“The first wagon just worked, if it hadn't I wouldn’t have gone back. Since then, each new machine we added did exactly what it was designed to and we could rely on it to get the job done. And when there was an issue – which happens - between Giltrap and our dealer we were back on track within 24 hours. In this game time is everything, and having tools that help us make the most of it makes all the difference.”

Since those humble beginnings, Gary and his wife Lynette have worked hard to grow their farm from strength to strength. At Giltrap we’re proud to have been at Gary & Lynette’s side throughout that journey — sharing the journey, enhancing efficiency and carrying the heavy loads.

Farming is always on the move, Gary explains "Today, we feed out a lot more and there are so many more things to think about. The Giltrap gear balances reliability and technology. We see them as an investment that help us to achieve the loads we want and to this day, they've never let us down."

Today, Gary and Lynette’s Giltrap arsenal includes Feed out wagons, tip-trailers, bale-feeders, as well as a wood splitter, effluent tanker and a quick hitch. It’s a comprehensive set of tools that helps to ensure his 350-hectare, 940 head farm runs like clockwork.
